Book release for the artists’ book published in conjunction with their exhibition at the Künstlerhaus Stuttgart in the fall of 2007
Featuring Vorstellungsklavier, a performance in which Ken Okiishi plays the piano while a remote-control-edited video collage of television is projected onto the back of the piano. In each performance, the subsequent performances are projected, mise en abyme, onto the back of the piano and the sound is amplified, creating a dense cacophony with the live acoustic sound of the piano. Ludlow 38 was the third iteration of Vorstellungsklavier.
The event was coordinated with a simultaneous book release of Cory Archangel’s A Couple Thousand Short Films About Glenn Gould downstairs at Dexter Sinister.
